I want to share some examples of what the idea of The Aniweda Dream means to me. The people below have altered their dreams of ideal living and passionately went after redefining what is possible. I want to post more about people going beyond the norm to inspire us all and support those with altered dreams. I remember my dreams as a kid and feeling unsure about how realistic my ideas were… at the time it was more difficult to know how people were testing the waters of mainstream culture. I had a dream I would someday see firsthand how different people live and decide for myself what worked for me by having various experiences. I think the people below have been brave enough to try something new to see what works for them and are documenting their steps to allow others to see…
First is a family traveling the world in a sustainable, off-roading adventure.
I’ve wanted to do both of these things to some extent. Ever since I was offered a job to be an eco-travel blogger(and probably before that), I’ve the dream of sustainable travel as a family. I feel nomadic down to my core and a lot of the things I want to do professionally or as service to my community merge with the idea of touching down in various places to give and gain as equally as possible. I want these experiences for my children as well and see them learning through the process of traveling.
I’m totally obsessed with RVs…everytime I see one on the road, I measure up how my life would work within it… but ultimately I want to get around by bike as much as possible. Someday I want to bike long distance with my daughters. One of my favorite sites is http://www.familiesontheroad.com. I also want to live in an intentional community in a natural structure like a yurt. I have altered my dreams about what I wanted and needed in my life.
Do you have any altered dreams you’re redefining? Could you do what these two are doing?
